Finders Reapers: (A Standalone Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance)

Now available on amazon

I fell to my death during the middle of my birthday party…
While being live streamed to my million followers online.
On my 21st birthday.

Little did I know, my deadbeat dad forged my signature on a soul contract with the devil.
The fricken devil!
Luckily for me, ole Lucifer has gone out of business, but the metaphysical powers that be have no idea what to do with me.
I’m given a choice, don a black cloak and start collecting souls,
Or go back to the premordial ooze.

My time on earth isn’t finished.
I need answers. Namely, who fricken killed me!

But, I’m a fledgling Reaper. My scythe is well and truly supervised.
By four dark and mysterious Reapers that seem determined to get me to hang up my cloak and call it a day.
If I want to catch my killer, I’ve got to play by the rules (for now).
Unfortunately, there are no rules when it comes to falling in love…

Bad Idea by Nicole French 5* Book Review

Bad Idea Ebook Cover

From the second she saw him, Layla Barros knew Nico Soltero was all wrong. Wrong age. Wrong education. Wrong job. Wrong everything. She had a hard enough time convincing her parents that New York really is the right place for their nineteen-year-old daughter without telling them she’s got a thing for the FedEx guy at her new part-time job. Too bad the second she saw him, Layla Barros no longer cared about right and wrong.

You know that feeling that you get when your heart breaks?

Your chest gets tight and there’s a lump in your throat that feels like your heart has just made its way from your ribcage to your oesophagus?

How? How does Nicole French make me experience every single visceral reaction right along with Layla and Nico? I feel shattered, torn and also in love with Nico…

I write this review from tear-stained eyes, completely and utterly wrung out from the emotional journey of this novel and YET! I’m going to read it again and count down every day until the sequel comes out.

I may be a masochist, but French writes so beautifully. Nico and Layla’s story is the first love, the one that got away, the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks and the show-stopping true love of meeting ‘the one’ all wrapped up in one novel that has left me in itty bitty pieces.

French tackles social/political/cultural and woman’s issues in a way that leaves no stone unturned. Coupled with her Spitfire series, no trope is typical. No story goes the way that you expect it to go. There are no clichés, and French WILL rip out your heart.

I loved Layla, with her immaturity and already hardened shell but I fell in LOVE with Nico. The man who treasures her, calls her Sweetie and only wants the best for her (but can still f**k like an animal. Damn.) I’ve gone mad and I’ll never look at a FEDex man the same way again.

French has done it again.

Review: Pennies by Pepper Winters (Dollar Series – Book 1) 5/5

Buy on amazon here:

At eighteen years old, I was murdered.

I wish my tale ended there.

However, my killer resuscitated me and sold me to the highest bidder, sentencing me to a world worse than Hell.

For the past two years, I’ve lived a life of torment as a man’s property. I suffer in silence and wish for freedom, but I never break.

I can’t.

I won’t.

But then he arrives.

The first stranger since I was killed.

Earlier this month, I helped unveil the new cover look for the Dollar series by Pepper Winters. Which is, in my opinion, one of her best works to date. So much so, that I had to pre-order the entire series after I finished the first book, which is something I almost never do.

It wasn’t until I sat back, emotionally exhausted and triumphant (no spoilers!) at the end of Pennies, that I realised that the lead character was as silent as a mouse for almost the entire novel. I was in awe of this writer. Having a character that can’t speak is the most intriguing and difficult feat to accomplish without falling on clichés (like telepathy etc).

Pepper Winters has created an amazingly strong female character in Pimlico. This series is darkness personified.
