Wild Rose: A Standalone Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance

Coming January 2023

My twin sister, Lexi, is a null witch, and the baddest B this side of the Red City. She’s got the whole bounty hunter/mercenary thing down.

Me?
I’m more at home in a greenhouse than in a dive bar.
I tend to my garden, not to my muscles.

When Lexi goes missing just hours before her biggest job yet, a career-changing gig as the head of security for a band called Elementals, it’s up to me to step up. All I have to do is pretend to be Lexi for three tour stops.

Easy Sweet Pea-zy, right?
Well… no.

Turns out, the Elementals have a stalker.
Coupled with death threats and numerous people on their tour going missing, I’ve walked into something that I am hilariously under-equipped for.

I’ve got to find out who’s behind the threats to save my sister, but I didn’t expect to actually care about the four big lugs in the band– four men that think they are Gaia’s gift to the world.

I know I’m going to get my heartbroken,
They think I’m my sister, and everyone falls in love with Lexi.
Just once, I wished they would fall in love with me.

Bad Idea by Nicole French 5* Book Review

Bad Idea Ebook Cover

From the second she saw him, Layla Barros knew Nico Soltero was all wrong. Wrong age. Wrong education. Wrong job. Wrong everything. She had a hard enough time convincing her parents that New York really is the right place for their nineteen-year-old daughter without telling them she’s got a thing for the FedEx guy at her new part-time job. Too bad the second she saw him, Layla Barros no longer cared about right and wrong.

You know that feeling that you get when your heart breaks?

Your chest gets tight and there’s a lump in your throat that feels like your heart has just made its way from your ribcage to your oesophagus?

How? How does Nicole French make me experience every single visceral reaction right along with Layla and Nico? I feel shattered, torn and also in love with Nico…

I write this review from tear-stained eyes, completely and utterly wrung out from the emotional journey of this novel and YET! I’m going to read it again and count down every day until the sequel comes out.

I may be a masochist, but French writes so beautifully. Nico and Layla’s story is the first love, the one that got away, the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks and the show-stopping true love of meeting ‘the one’ all wrapped up in one novel that has left me in itty bitty pieces.

French tackles social/political/cultural and woman’s issues in a way that leaves no stone unturned. Coupled with her Spitfire series, no trope is typical. No story goes the way that you expect it to go. There are no clichés, and French WILL rip out your heart.

I loved Layla, with her immaturity and already hardened shell but I fell in LOVE with Nico. The man who treasures her, calls her Sweetie and only wants the best for her (but can still f**k like an animal. Damn.) I’ve gone mad and I’ll never look at a FEDex man the same way again.

French has done it again.

The Devil’s Lullaby by Michaela Haze (Book #2)

Coming December 2017

51rxb9uq1pL

Before she died, Dahlia Clark had many titles.
Devil’s Consort.
Queen of the First Circle.
The Mother of the Devil’s Progeny.

She never expected ‘One of the Lord’s Chosen’ to be added to that list.
The ice prison took something vital from her. (No. Not her designer heels…)
Dahlia was torn from her daughter and her lover, Lucifer.
The war between Heaven and Hell be damned.
She’s going to get her life back and not even the Lord can stand in her way.

The Devil’s Lullaby is the next instalment in the Dahlia Clark series.

The Devil’s Advocate by Michaela Haze (Book #1)

35412081

Dahlia Clark is a Hell Broker. You want to sell your soul, she’s your girl.
The only problem? She’s not seen her boss, Luc, in over two centuries.
Not since he forced her out of hell, out of his bed and condemned her to be his eyes and ears on the surface.
As far as breakups go, it could have been better!

When Dahlia meets Samuel Rose, a male incubus with the London Underground scene wrapped around his finger, things are looking up in the romance department.
At least she can dust off a few of those cobwebs.

Wrong.
Lucifer doesn’t like it when people play with his things.
It doesn’t matter that he dumped her over two hundred years ago. The Devil wants Dahlia back, whatever the cost.

New look! Legally Yours by Nicole French – Cover Reveal

For anyone that’s interested, you can read my original review of Legally Yours here!

As I wait patiently for the sequel to Legally Yours (Titled ‘Legally Mine’) let me get you all excited with the new look cover re-design for the Spitfire series! I absolutely love it and just had to share it with all of you.

After reading the first chapter exert on Nicole French’s website, I am so desperate for the sequel to this series and the continuation of Brandon and Skylar’s story. The first book ended on such a revelation that it feels like torture to have to wait.

I am so happy that Nicole French chose one of my review quotes for the cover of her book, and it means the world to me to be able to connect and share the work of such an amazing writer.

If you haven’t checked out the book yet, it’s available on amazon here.

Review: Catching Carly by Emma Hart 4/5

33514283

Buy on amazon here:

“My name is Carly Porter… And I’m really good at bad decisions.

How do I know this, exactly? Well, not including the time I accidentally bleached my eyebrows or sprained my ankle changing a lightbulb…
I had sex with my best friend’s brother.
Zeke Elliott has been a thorn in my side for eleven years. A very sexy, very tempting, very freaking annoying one. With big…hands.
And now my clitoris has a crush on the guy.
Seriously. I can’t look at him without my vagina performing accidental kegels. Which would be fine, but he’s Cain’s brother. I hate him. He’s off limits, right?
Right.”

Being Brooke was an eye opening and mental experience. I feel guilty that I couldn’t give this book the five out of five that Emma Hart’s insightful, awkward, and hilarious inner monologues deserve. The relationship between the main couple were brilliant but a bit stilted, there wasn’t much tension apart from the hovering spectre of the ex ‘Becky’, but she didn’t actually appear once.

Despite the lack of tension and … dare I say, plot, the characters of Carly and Brooke make up for any of that and meant that I left the final page of this book happy with the outcome.

I thoroughly enjoy Emma Hart’s Barley Cross characters, and cannot wait to see where this goes next.

Review: The Opposite of You – Rachel Higginson (Kindle Unlimited)

33932353

Buy on amazon here:

“I’m stubborn. And headstrong. And I’ve just survived the worst three years of my life. After escaping an abusive boyfriend to live in hostels and cheap hotels while I worked my way across Europe, I’ve come to two conclusions.

The first? Now that I’m back home, I’m going to squander my expensive culinary degree on a food truck that caters to the late night drunk crowd.”

If you love hipster, food truck culture you will love this novel. On the flip side, if you love a bit of steamy and high pressure kitchen relationships this is also the book for you.

It is two sides of the coin of the restaurant industry and the relationship dynamic between both of the main character makes for a witty and brilliant, romance with depth.

The back and forth between the two main characters was hilarious.

One word: Salt

If you liked the film ‘Chef’, I would recommend this book.

Review: Stepbrother Inked by Violet Blaze 5/5

25754410

Buy on amazon here:

Florian Harper Riley has my heart and he doesn’t even know it. I used to think that was okay, that I’d get over him, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t purge his sharp green gaze from my thoughts.
He’s a tattoo artist, the love of my life, the man of my dreams.
But he’s also my stepbrother.

Sometimes you have to admit that you just love a tattooed bad boy and a forbidden romance. I have a soft spot for stepbrother romances especially when the lead male, aka Florian, is a cocky but loveable inked up bad boy.

This book is a good light read with a HEA, I would recommend for anyone that loves this genre of story!

Review: 5/5 Worth it by S.M Shade and C.M Owens

Buy here on amazon:

Three unruly friends.
A wedding we shouldn’t have been invited to.
Two unexpected romances.
A scoop of sexy.
And a double scoop of chaos.

I don’t think I have read a book that has made me laugh out loud as many times as this one. With an amputee’s nano-controlled arm going wild, to pranking the groom by locking him in a porta-potty. Honestly, I would hate for these women to come to my wedding, but I would love to be friends with them!

This is a laugh a minute, character driven book that is so beautifully hilarious that if you read it in public, you WILL get funny looks.

Brilliant read! Would recommend to anyone and everyone. 5/5
